* an open window blaring out we are the champions to the participants of the london to brighton bike ride yesterday

* the flutter of excitement in meeting up with an old friend
* the look on the cooker delivery man’s face this morning when i answered the door with not much on, fantastic bed hair and last night’s make-up
* washing the day of bed off in the shower with mango and papaya
* opening my purse to find presents of gold wrapped chocolate

* my cute, fluffy, orange, twitchy baby bunny who i went to see today. only 3 weeks until i can bring her home!
* buying a beautiful something for someone to mark a particularly poignant date

* hungry eyes was playing in the baby room at creche today, which immediately made me want to go home and watch dirty dancing again
* the potatoes are flowering, the tomato plant leaves smell like tomatoes, and there are a ton of pods on the pea plants

* getting up a little earlier than everyone else so that i can mooch about and have the place all to myself for a while
* the boys holding hands on their walk to creche and boy 1 giving boy 2 directions on where they were going and how they were going to get there
* the smell of summer on my skin after a lunchtime in the sun

* cushion buying in habitat. a host of colour to choose from but opted for large pale pink pillows and small lime green squares of venus flytrap pattern - bring on the comfort
* an old geeky looking guy wearing a really faded tizwaz t-shirt which was tucked into high waisted jeans
* the promise of rain when i’m sitting indoors looking out at the pink-grey sky

* the smell of strawberries in the air as we walked to the end of the field to pick the ripest juiciest ones
* being complemented on my hair, playsuit, and shoes all in one day. i’m on a roll…
* really enjoyed a hawk and a hacksaw this eve but loved the growl of sons of noel & adrian who were supporting (and not just because the lead vocal was sex)

* feeling relieved in the knowledge that boy 1’s little green lobster hasn’t escaped to the sea but is just chilling out in clarks shoe shop awaiting his master’s return
* i was reminded of a crinkly fluorescent pink top i used to own when i was about 12 - an old woman was wearing a less crinkly but just as fluorescent version. all of a sudden i was struck by a memory of me, mum, and a market at margate football club
* looking down and surveying lewes road, knowing no-one can see me, in my holy fuck pants

* witnessing bbq buying frenzy at b&q this morning
* boy 2 is now free at night! after a while of not hearing him running about i went upstairs to investigate only to find him snuggled up at the bottom of boy 1’s bed
* watching a baby panda sneeze has been one of the funniest moments of today

* a trek through hollingbury woods, chancing upon a massive allotment complete with designer scarecrows
* beers and brownies in the sunshine
* sofa action: late afternoon power nap, cuddles with the boys and the guardian

* boy 2 sans pushchair this lunchtime enjoying his first walk through the forest to get to the playground
* watching 2 people so obviously right for each other telling stories about finnish saunas and commodes in pubs
* thoroughly enjoying a book but not feeling sad that the journey is over because of the next one i have lined up

* the first song on shuffle this morning is my sharona - a perfect song to start the drive to work
* watching little ones at lunchtime swap shoes and think it’s the funniest thing ever
* someone i love asking if i’m ok when i’m not, but knowing not to push it.

* this collection at middle farm
* doing some serious girly oohing and aahing with karen at work over the gorgeous bunny i have reserved (she’s the orange one)
* boy 1 has been on form this evening, but dancing around naked with my yellow bra on his head pretending to play guitar on a matching yellow coat hanger has made me laugh the hardest. really proud of his outstanding colour co-ordination
